FaceLabs does not collect personal information

All facial analysis in FaceLabs is processed only within the user's device (browser). Uploaded photos are never sent to a server and are immediately deleted from memory after analysis.

1. Overview

FaceLabs ("the Service") considers user privacy a top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled during the use of the Service.

2. Personal Information Collected

2.1 Information NOT Collected

FaceLabs does NOT collect the following information:

  • Facial photos and image data
  • Facial recognition results and landmark data
  • Big Five personality analysis results
  • Career matching results
  • Name, email, phone number, or other personally identifiable information
  • Account information (no registration feature)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

The following information may be automatically collected for website operation:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • Access time and service usage records
  • IP address (server logs)
  • Cookies (for service functionality)

3. Technical Processing

3.1 Client-Side Processing

FaceLabs' facial analysis works as follows:

  1. When a user uploads a photo, the image is loaded only into the user's browser memory.
  2. The face-api.js library analyzes the face within the browser.
  3. Analysis results (Big Five scores, career matching) are calculated within the browser.
  4. After analysis, image data is immediately deleted from memory.

3.2 No Server Transmission

User photos are never transmitted to a server under any circumstances. You can verify this through your browser's developer tools (Network tab).

4. Cookie Usage

FaceLabs may use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Storing service consent status (session storage)
  • Temporary storage of analysis results (session storage, deleted on refresh)
  • Website analytics (when Google Analytics is used)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.

5. Third-Party Sharing

Since FaceLabs does not collect personal information, there is no information to share with third parties.

However, the following third-party services may be used for service operation:

  • Vercel: Website hosting (server log collection)
  • Google Analytics: Anonymized website usage statistics (optional)
  • Kakao SDK: KakaoTalk sharing feature (optional)

6. Retention Period

Since user photos and analysis results are not stored on servers, no retention period applies. Results temporarily stored in browser session storage are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or the page is refreshed.

7. User Rights

Since FaceLabs does not collect personal information, there is no information subject to access, correction, or deletion requests.

8. Children's Privacy

FaceLabs does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 14. Since no personal information is collected due to the nature of the service, no separate measures for child protection are necessary.
